In this section you may define building groups. Buildings of the same form, period of construction, state of renovation and heating system form such a group. As soon as one of these properties is different for a certain building, a new group must be defined.

When you have defined a building group a template pops up for each building period containing the relevant building groups. Within this template you may edit the input data or you may choose to cancel the building group altogether. Please use the relevant function buttons to do this.

The default values "energy performance indicators" and "hot water demand" are based on Austrian average statistical values (Jungmeier et al., 1997). The energy rating defines the annual energy per m² net living space for space heating. The energy rating depends on building group's type, age and renovation status. If you have access to more precise values for the respective building groups you may change the value. The total space heating demand will be calculated by multiplying the energy rating with the living space supplied by the user. Hot water demand will be calculated by multiplying the user's supplied number of residents with the average hot water demand per person.
